Consumerism: You're doing it right America.

I cried in my class today while we were talking about Consumerism. We could have filled the board with all things that are consumed. No one said love though. We consume love, we spread love, we are love. All things on the board were obvious distractions, nothing necessary. Food, water. But under survival it was food, beverages, animals, water. Still unnecessary. I consume, I’m sitting in a house on a laptop using energy. But I mean, relax and don’t rely on it. Don’t buy 200 dollar shoes, they will more than likely trickle down to your local thrift stores anyway. Buy from farmer’s markets, grow what you can, watch where you buy and what you buy, learn what you can. Sit in silence, away from all this. Root yourself. Find the duality, the yin and yang. Just Be, man~ Just Be.

The wise man poorest in material, outward possessions is richest in the inner aspects.
